About the author

Martin Molony is the Programme Director of the MSc in Public Relations & Strategic Communications at Dublin City University.

Based at DCU’s School of Communications, Martin has previously been Programme Director of the BA in Communication Studies, the BA in Journalism and the BSc in Multimedia.

His postgraduate teaching includes modules on the MSc in Public Relations and on the MA in Political Communication and the M.Sc. in Science Communication.

Martin has taught across DCU faculties, developing and delivering modules in “Crisis Communications” and “Digital Communication” for DCU’s Business School (DCUBS), and “Communication & Caring” at the School of Nursing, Psychotherapy and Community Health.

His wider academic experience includes acting as External Examiner on the BA in Journalism at Dublin Business School (DBS); the BA in Public Relations at the Carlow Institute of Technology (CIT); and for the Mary Immaculate College of Education (MIC) at the University of Limerick (UL).

Martin is currently pursuing a PhD on the history (1700 – 2000) of the puppet theatre in Ireland.
