I am an experienced trainer, with nineteen years experience as a university lecturer, including vocational training in communication skills, media technologies and journalism practice. This experience has been supplemented by considerable training exposure in the business, professional and voluntary sectors.

I have provided a variety of training for individuals and groups within the academic, commercial and voluntary sectors. The subject areas include communication skills, social media and media relations, but the common thread across all of this training is effective communication. The principles of effective communication remain core to success within social media, interpersonal communication or engagement with traditional media. Effective training in these areas focuses on how these principles can be applied, in different ways, for each of these situations.

I have worked with individuals and organisations, both large and small, in delivering effective communication courses and workshops, including the Garda Síochána, the Irish Cancer Society, the Law Society of Ireland, Rotary International, RTE and Teagasc.

No matter what you do, you and your colleagues need to communicate effectively. I can bring this experience and knowledge to bear on communication within and without your organisation.
